Where French Heritage Meets Armenian Highlands

Our Story

The Art of French Cheese in the Heart of Armenia

On the shores of Lake Sevan, surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the Armenian highlands, our artisan cheese factory was born from a passion for authentic craftsmanship and a deep respect for nature.

Inspired by the centuries-old traditions of French cheesemaking, we create exceptional Camembert and Brie using authentic French starter and ripening cultures, combined with the richness of fresh local mountain milk. Our cheeses are carefully crafted by hand, allowing time, patience, and natural processes to reveal their delicate textures, elegant aromas, and distinctive character.

Lake Sevan is at the heart of our identity—a place where pure mountain air, pristine landscapes, and the unique spirit of Armenia shape every creation. Here, French cheesemaking heritage meets the beauty of Armenian terroir, creating cheeses that carry the soul of France and the freshness of the highlands.

Every wheel tells a story of tradition, craftsmanship, and the extraordinary connection between two lands: the timeless cheese culture of France and the pure natural heritage of Lake Sevan, Armenia.

Our Cheeses

Handcrafted, slowly ripened, honestly made

Two soft-ripened classics, crafted the traditional way from fresh local milk.

Camembert

Camembert

Soft-ripened · cow's milk · aged 3 weeks

A velvety white rind hiding a rich, earthy heart with notes of mushroom and cream. Baked whole with garlic and rosemary, it becomes pure magic.

Brie

Brie

Soft-ripened · cow's milk · aged 4 weeks

A silky, bloomy-rind classic with notes of mushroom and warm butter. It melts the moment it reaches room temperature.

Craftsmanship

From meadow to wheel

Great cheese cannot be rushed. Here is how a De Bonneville wheel comes to life.

01

Fresh local milk

Milk from our partner farms arrives within four hours of milking — never frozen, never powdered, always full of character.

02

Cultured with care

Our milk is gently enriched with traditional cultures and left to develop its unique flavour — a slow process where patience creates character.

03

Shaped by hand

The curd is cut, stirred and pressed into moulds by our cheesemakers — each wheel checked by eye and by hand.

04

Naturally matured

Each wheel rests in our aging rooms, where time, humidity and care transform it into a soft, creamy cheese with a delicate bloomy rind.
